It’s official....Prosper ISD is the 5A Lone Star Cup Champion! Congratulations to all of the fine art, athletic, and academic groups that made this a reality.
Tonight Prosper High School was awarded the Lone Star Cup by @uiltexas Officials recognizing PHS's Victory in 5A during the 2017-2018 school year. PHS was the top performing school, from 252 5A high schools in Texas, demonstrating excellence in Academics, Athletics and Fine Arts.

This morning Prosper ISD celebrated the ground breaking of the third district high school scheduled to open in the Fall of 2024. The new campus, located off of 1st Street on the East side of the district will be named Walnut Grove High School and will be the home of the Wildcats.

School is Closed Our area received a coating of ice overnight and the temperature does not look to be reaching above freezing anytime soon. With driver safety in mind especially that of our many teenage drivers, we have made the decision to close school for the day.

Prosper Education Foundation Board President Jorden Dial and many of the PEF Board presented Prosper ISD with a check for $190,500 for staff development, Hope Squad, RISE educators, and scholarships for student CTE certifications.

With the expectation of winter weather beginning this afternoon into tomorrow and out of an abundance of caution with our many teen drivers, PISD has made the decision to close school (virtual and in-person) Thursday and Friday.

PISD campuses and offices will be closed Tuesday, Feb 16, and Wednesday, Feb 17, due to inclement weather and unsafe driving conditions throughout the area. All classes, including at-home virtual classes, are canceled. All afterschool activities and events are also canceled.
